The MultiPlus-II integrates the capabilities of both the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It encompasses all the functionalities of the MultiPlus, along with an option for an external current transformer to enable PowerControl and PowerAssist, enhancing self-consumption with external current detection (up to 32A).
Additionally, it includes all the features of the MultiGrid, featuring built-in anti-islanding and a growing list of country certifications.
PowerAssist
The MultiPlus-II is designed to prevent overloading of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. Initially, battery charging will be automatically reduced to prevent overload. The second stage will enhance the output of a generator or shore power supply using power drawn from the battery.
ESS: Energy Storage Systems
The MultiPlus-II serves as a crucial element in a Victron ESS system, offering the versatility to integrate with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters. For examples and further details, refer to the ESS (Energy Storage System) manual.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In case of a grid outage, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi automatically activates to supply power to the connected loads. This transition occurs so swiftly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices continue to function without interruption.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When paired with a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX), you can oversee and manage your Multi and system(s) locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere globally, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website. Access is available from a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC across multiple operating systems.
