The RSS (Rapid Shutdown System) Transmitter from Tigo completes an economical rapid shutdown system setup when used with Tigo's UL-certified Fire Safety solutions, which include the TS4-F (integrated), TS4-A-F (add-on), TS4-A-2F (add-on for two modules), and TS4-R-F (retrofit) units. The RSS Transmitter communicates with the TS4-F units to maintain the connection of PV modules while they are active and generating power. When the RSS Transmitter is turned off, the TS4-F units automatically switch to rapid shutdown mode and resume power generation once the RSS Transmitter is reactivated. This system adheres to NEC 2014, 2017, and 2020 690.12 standards using power-line communication (PLC). Key features of the RSS Transmitter include:
