The MultiPlus-II integrates the capabilities of both the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It encompasses all the functionalities of the MultiPlus, along with an option for an external current transformer to enable PowerControl and PowerAssist, enhancing self-consumption through external current detection (up to 32A).
Additionally, it includes all the features of the MultiGrid, featuring built-in anti-islanding and a growing list of country certifications.
PowerAssist
The MultiPlus-II is designed to prevent overloading of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power. Initially, it will automatically reduce battery charging to avoid overload. The second stage involves boosting the output of a generator or shore power with energy drawn from the battery.
ESS: Energy Storage Systems
The MultiPlus-II serves as a crucial element in a Victron ESS setup, offering the versatility to integrate with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters. For examples and further details, refer to the ESS (Energy Storage System) manual.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
Should there be a grid outage, or if shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi automatically activates to maintain power to the connected devices. This transition occurs so swiftly (in under 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices continue to function without interruption.
Remote Monitoring and Control
By connecting with a GX device (such as Cerbo GX), you can oversee and manage your Multi and systems either locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from any location worldwide, using the complimentary VRM app and free VRM portal website. Access is available from a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC across various operating systems.
