The Fronius RSD box can support up to two strings in parallel per input (up to a total of 4 strings).

The Fronius Quattro Rapid shutdown box features a minimal DC startup voltage, enabling its use
in Off-Grid systems with charge controllers for RSD code compliance or alongside
other standard string inverter brands.
The RSD box can be deactivated by the built-in signal relay in Fronius Primo and Symo inverter lines
or alternatively through a manual switch that cuts off the two-wire communication line.
In Alberta and certain other areas, an extra RSD initiator switch can be installed on the roof,
if accessible, requiring an additional method for rapid shutdown initiation at multiple locations.
