The MultiPlus-II 2 x120V is an ideal all-in-one mobile solution for typical North American 50A 120/240VAC split-phase setups. Whether powered by shore power or a generator, the MultiPlus-II 2x120V can handle and pass through both lines of a 120/240V supply, allowing the full 50A to be used for charging and AC loads. When linked to a single-phase 120V source, the L1 input of the MultiPlus-II 2x120V will receive incoming power for charging and passthrough, while merging the L1 and L2 outputs to deliver single-phase 120V on each line.
The MultiPlus automatically switches to inverter mode when no AC source is present. The inverter output is also 120V single phase. In this mode, the MultiPlus-II 2x120V internally links both lines L1 and L2 to supply 120VAC to loads on either output. Thus, in all connection scenarios, both sides of a distribution panel receive 120V. However, 240VAC is only accessible when the MultiPlus is connected to a split-phase 120/240VAC source. This prevents high-demand appliances like water heaters or 240V air conditioners from draining the battery.
The MultiPlus-II 2x 120V includes all the standard features of our adaptable inverter/charger series, such as PowerControl, PowerAssist, Input Current Limit, two AC outputs, and options for parallel and 3-phase configuration for larger capacity VE.Bus systems. Compatible with LiFePO4 batteries and various other battery types.
