DC Lead Extensions are designed for use with quad microinverters. When arranging 4 panels in a row with the inverter centrally located, the DC leads from the first and fourth panels are often too short to connect to the quad micro inverter. For models HMS-1600 to HMS-2000, typically 4 extension leads are required.
