Fronius - Module Temperature Sensor

This sensor is primarily used to gauge surface temperatures. By attaching it to the rear of the pv-module, you can determine the module's temperature. The temperature of the pv-module is crucial for its power output. Monitoring this allows the pv-owner to assess the power chart's performance.

Installation advice:

The package includes the sensor, a cable fastening component, and two cable ties.

Before attaching the sensor components to the module, ensure it is clean, dry, and free of grease and dust.

Route the cable to the PV-module and secure it with one of the cable ties on the module's frame. Ensure the cable is long enough to form a loop, which can be secured with the second cable tie. This loop is useful for maintenance.

Next, attach the fastening component at a suitable distance below the intended measurement point.

Finally, attach the sensor to the measurement point above the fastening component. (The sensor cable should run directly from the sensor to the fastening component)
